Suggested Steps
for the New Believer to Grow in Jesus!
Share your
new faith with
a friend, perhaps another Christian. This is an
important first step for growth as a Christian.
Romans
10:9-10, "That if you
confess with your mouth, "Jesus is
Lord," and believe in your heart
that God raised him from the dead, you
will be saved. 10For
it is with your heart that you believe
and are justified, and it is with your
mouth that you confess and are
saved."

Joshua
1:8, "Do not let
this Book of the Law depart from your
mouth; meditate on it day and night, so
that you may be careful to do everything
written in it. Then you will be
prosperous and successful"
Memorize
favorite scriptures; Psalm 119:11, "Thy
word have I treasured in my heart, that I
might not sin against You." Click here for suggestions

Pray
regularly!
Prayer is simply "talking to God". He
hears you speak and He knows your thoughts. So,
you can pray audibly or by directing your
thoughts to Him. Practice both. You can
"whisper" your prayer in private or
semi-private settings to control your thought
process, helping to "keep on track".
John
15:7, "If you remain
in me and my words remain in you, ask
whatever you wish, and it will be given
you."
Mark 11:24-25, "Therefore
I tell you, whatever you ask for in
prayer, believe that you have received
it, and it will be yours. 25And
when you stand praying, if you hold
anything against anyone, forgive him, so
that your Father in heaven may forgive
you your sins".
Psalm 37:4, "Delight
yourself in the LORD and he will give you
the desires of your heart."

Ephesians
5:15-21, "Be very
careful, then, how you livenot as
unwise but as wise, 16making
the most of every opportunity, because
the days are evil. 17Therefore
do not be foolish, but understand
what the Lord's will is. 18Do
not get drunk on wine, which leads to
debauchery. Instead,
be filled with the Spirit. 19Speak
to one another with psalms, hymns and
spiritual songs. Sing and make music in
your heart to the Lord, 20always
giving thanks to God the Father for
everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ. 21Submit
to one another out of reverence for
Christ."

more as you see the Day
